More specifically, what do you get the girl with ripened allure, poignant individuality, cultural confidence and a knowledge of good design? Such a silly question. You get her Honor’s Fall 2012 collection. A liquid black base, equally fluid, violet, deep tangerine, chartreuse, and a shockingly royal blue flowed onto streamlined pants, skirts, and dresses that ranged from knee-length, floor-length, long sleeved, high-collared, to drop-waisted. Despite the modesty afforded by such conservative hemlines (one daringly short mini and a pair of mid-thigh close-cropped shorts being the exceptions) the pieces all still very much played the part of seductive.

Graphic interlacing line-work, subdued floral patterns, intricate black lace overlays on vibrant solids, and the occasional splash of polka dot reinforced the confident individuality of each piece. Overall, the collection evoked thoughts of a young lady who lunched in a legendary Manhattan era gone by—but a young lady who would gladly shirk social conservatism for a well-respected romp in Studio 54.
